Exercise A 1.- C 2.- A 3.- B 4.- A 5.- D 6.- B 7.- D 8.- C Exercise B Research are concerned about to decline in bee colonies. Some blame hard winters. In a normal winter, the number of bees in a hive drops by about 10 percent. However, in recent years, beekeepers have seen an annual fall of approximately 30 percent in the number of bees in their hives. Some had losses of roughly 50 percent, and some even lost nearly 90 percent of their bees. Overall, the U.S, experienced a decline of more than 70% in its total bee population. However, this problem does not exist everywhere. In fact, globally, there has been an increase of more than 45% in the number of hives, and honey production has also risen by approximately 100% in the last 50 years.

Exercise B 1. One of the happiest moments in my life was having dinner in Italy with my husband. We were on a little island on a lake. And there were these musicians who were playing music. The moment when we watched the sunset was so romantic. I can't remember when I felt happier. 2. I think the happiest day in my life was celebrating 18th birthday and played volleyball on the beach. There were some other guys there who were playing a game , too, and and we played against them. They were really good, so the fact that we won felt really great. We've all stayed friends ever since, and when we get together, it always reminds me of that day. 3. My earliest happy memory was winning the school's spelling bee contest. I felt so proud as I stood there. Everyone in the audience stood up and clapped. And when I saw my parents' faces, it was the best moment. I stood on the stage for ages and didn't want it all to end.

skin
1. Protect yourself from the sun
  • Use sunscreen. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15. Apply sunscreen generously, and reapply every two hours — or more often if you're swimming or perspiring.
  • Seek shade. Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., when the sun's rays are strongest.
  • Wear protective clothing. Cover your skin with tightly woven long-sleeved shirts, long pants and wide-brimmed hats. Also consider laundry additives, which give clothing an additional layer of ultraviolet protection for a certain number of washings, or special sun-protective clothing — which is specifically designed to block ultraviolet rays.
2. Don't smoke
One of the most important ways to take care of your skin is to protect it from the sun. A lifetime of sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots and other skin problems — as well as increase the risk of skin cancer.
For the most complete sun protection:
Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles. Smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which decreases blood flow. This depletes the skin of oxygen and nutrients that are important to skin health.
bones
1. Eat calcium-rich foods
  • In addition to dairy products, choose fish with bones such as salmon, sardines or whitebait. For additional benefits, serve them with a side of dark leafy green vegetables or broccoli. Almonds, dried figs, fortified tofu and soy milk are also calcium-rich choices, says registered dietitian Laura Jeffers, MEd, RD, LD.
  • 2. Take calcium supplements

The U.S. recommended daily allowance for calcium is 1,000 mg a day during your 20s, 30s and 40s. But your need rises as you age. Check with your doctor before starting supplements to find out what amount is right for you. For example, after menopause, most women need 1000 to 1,500 mg a day unless they take hormone therapy. Your body only absorbs 500 mg of calcium at a time, Ms. Jeffers notes, so spread your consumption out over the course of the day.
  • muscle
  • Warm Up and Cool Down

Before beginning any sort of physical activity, it’s crucial to spend 10-20 minutes warming up. Focus on warming up the muscles you’ll be using during your workout. A brisk walk, a light jog, or light weight training can help your muscles prepare for more intense activities such as a long run, sprints, or heavy weight training.
After exercising, be sure to spend another 10-20 minutes cooling down. The cool-down process is similar to the warm-up process, except at a slower pace. Perform a less intense activity to allow your muscles to fully recover.

    Stretch

Spending 10-15 minutes stretching your main muscle groups can drastically reduce muscle tears. Hold each stretch for 20 seconds to allow the muscles to become more flexible, and therefore less likely to sustain injury. Stretching out your muscles also helps them reach their full range of motion.
The best time to stretch is after your warm-up and before the intense activity. This way, your muscles will already be warm and they will stretch better.
  • brain
  • 1. Engage Yourself in the Complex and Novel
Learning new information and skills across your entire lifespan helps to keep your brain strong even in the later years of life. Activities that have the highest value for brain health are those that are novel and complex to each particular person. What is easy for one person may be challenging for another, so the things that challenge you the most have the most value for your brain.
It is the novel and complex that will challenge the brain, stimulate learning, and promote synaptic density, decreasing the likelihood that neurodegenerative disease will manifest. With practice of an activity or skill, your synaptic density increases, and what was once novel and complex can easily become rote and passive. Therefore, continually learning new things will ensure your brain is always expanding and staying sharp!
  • liver
  • Here are some ways to keep your liver healthy:
Don't drink a lot of alcohol. It can damage liver cells and lead to the swelling or scarring that becomes cirrhosis, which can be deadly.
How much alcohol is too much? U.S. government guidelines say men should drink no more than two drinks a day and women only one.
Eat a healthy diet and get regular exercise. Your liver will thank you. You'll keep your weight under control, which helps prevent nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), a condition that leads to cirrhosis.

joint: a structure in the human or animal body at which two parts of the skeleton are fitted together.

kidney: each of a pair of organs in the abdominal cavity of mammals, birds, and reptiles, excreting urine.

lungs:each of the pair of organs situated within the rib cage, consisting of elastic sacs with branching passages
into which air is drawn, so that oxygen can pass into the blood and carbon dioxide be removed. Lungs are characteristic of vertebrates other than fish, though similar structures are present in some other animal groups.

sinuses: a cavity within a bone or other tissue, especially one in the bones of the face or skull connecting with the nasal cavities.
